ASURO is a freely C-programmable moving robot, developed at the Institute for Robotics and Mechatronics in the German Aerospace Centre (DLR2). Electronic experts consider the assembly phase as an easy training course for beginners. Apart from the printed circuit board, the robot kit contains only standard parts that can easily be manipulated. Freeware software is used in the programming phase. Therefore, ASURO will prove to be an excellent tool for the hobbyist starting a new experience in processor-controlled systems, for high school classes and students, educational courses, or adult education centers, completely developed by using freeware in a non-commercial organization, ASURO also demonstrates success in designing a low-cost, working robot. | ||
