The flexibility of the Asuro makes it a rolling cart of education. The cart of education may be used as your platform for teaching mechanic, electronic and programming in class curriculum. The robot may be programmed to follow a line, solve a maze, follow moving object , or compete with other Asuros in games.

ASURO is a freely C-programmable moving robot, developed at the Institute for Robotics and Mechatronics in the German Aerospace Centre (DLR2).

Electronic experts consider the assembly phase as an easy training course for beginners. Apart from the printed circuit board, the robot kit contains only standard parts that can easily be manipulated. Freeware software is used in the programming phase. Therefore, ASURO will prove to be an excellent tool for the hobbyist starting a new experience in processor-controlled systems, for high school classes and students, educational courses, or adult education centers, completely developed by using freeware in a non-commercial organization, ASURO also demonstrates success in designing a low-cost, working robot.

Features:

-This is an educational robot kit based on a RISC processor.

-Two independently controllable motors

-An optical sensor for line tracking

-Six collision sensors (switches)

-Three optical indicators

-An infrared transmitter system for programming and remote control by a PC via RS232 interface

-A detailed instruction manual describes the assembly process and the installation of the software as well as step-by-step instructions on programming the ASURO using numerous examples.

-Our Asuro come s with a self-test program loaded in the chip so you can tell if you assembled the Asuro correctly. This self-test and a few other programs come with the CD-rom .

-Programming is carried out in C, where predefined functions can be accessed to actuate the two motors, the sensors and displays

-Arduino users should be able to program this robot easily as earlier Arduinos used this processor.
